Our history

Established in 1982, Comenco Enr. was primarily a machine shop until 1985, when the business was purchased by 12850 Canada Inc. Operating under the name Comenco, it sold and installed equipment related to building maintenance and factory production. It also offered staffing services. During this period, the business employed between 6 and 19 people.

In September 1994, the company name Comenco was sold to 3041743 Canada Inc., which employed 15 to 20 people.

In November 2011, the company name Comenco was sold to COMENCO Services aux immeubles inc., owned by shareholders François Lafleur and Benoit de Grosbois.

With a bachelor of science, President François Lafleur has over 30 years’ experience in real estate management and solid project-management experience (mechanical, electrical and architectural). He was the Corporate Director for Real estate Operations at a Public Corporation for many years, where he was responsible for a building inventory worth over $1,300,000,000. While under his management, the building inventory received honours on several occasions. He also has a solid experience in the hospital sector.

CEO Benoit de Grosbois holds the designation of Real Property Administrator (RPA), which he obtained from BOMI International (Building Owners and Managers Institute), in partnership with BOMA Quebec. He has over 18 years’ experience working as a building manager for companies such as Standard Life and Cadillac Fairview. He worked as a Real estate consultant for a Public Corporation for close to 8 years, during which time he obtained several certifications and awards.

Together, they offer solid experience in real estate management, thermal plant operation and management, and sustainable development.

COMENCO Services aux immeubles inc. now has over 50 employees and offers new services in real estate management, thermal plant operation and management, and sustainable development.
